Developing your international vision and profile as a lawyer
One of the differentiating elements of the Esade Bachelor in Law is its curriculum which incorporates a clearly transnational focus. This education will give you an international perspective on Law –fundamental in today’s globalised world– and will enrich your CV thanks to a part of your program providing you experience abroad.
Transnational Law background
Preparing you for a globalised world
The programme provides you an education in Transnational Law to learn about other legal systems around the world, primarily the Common Law system applied in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. You’ll also learn about Asian and Islamic legal systems.
In addition, the curriculum includes:
- Dedicated subjects, such as European Union Law, Private International Law or Legal Ethics, amongst others.
- The option of completing your semester-long exchange programme at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London (CTLS), one of the world’s most prestigious Transnational Law centres.
- The possibility of participating in international moot courts.
Why studying Transnational Law is important
In the future, you’ll have to take on legal cases which may transcend physical borders between countries: from a divorce between people from different countries to the adoption of children abroad, the extradition of a prisoner or hiring employees for transnational companies. With the Esade Bachelor in Law degree, you’ll be prepared to launch an international career and resolve the legal challenges globalisation presents.
