If you like to debate and argue and you are a high school sophomore, junior, or senior, our Moot Court for High School Students is an Esade experience you won’t want to miss.
What is a moot court? It is a mock trial in which you get to be a lawyer and argue a case before a jury.
But you won’t be alone! You prepare the case as a team: you simply need to form one with classmates from your high school. Together, you will compete with teams from other schools, but… only one team will win the prize!
High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who register in advance through this website.
The competition is open to teams of between 3 and 5 people. All members must be students from the same school, and only one team per school may enter. A total of 8 teams will participate in the Moot Court.
Check the rules for the Moot Court for High School Students.
It will consist of an Esade Law School student and a legal expert or Esade professor.
There will be one winning team. Prizes will depend on what year each team member is in.

No! Preparing a case and arguing it in court are obviously a major part of what legal professionals do, but communicating, presenting, and persuasive speaking are necessary skills in all professions today. In fact, they will make you stand out as a professional who brings added value no matter what field you choose to pursue a career in.
In short, it is an experience we recommend to all students interested in our undergraduate programs.
