A one-of-a-kind opportunity to show off your speaking skills
If you’re a high-school student graduating in 2025, 2026 and 2027 and you think that no-one can beat you in an argument, we want to see you in action. The Esade Pre-University Debating Competition will put you up against other gifted and eloquent orators, with the support of other students from the Bachelor in Law, testing your talent for public speaking and your ability to make a convincing case.

How it works
Participants
High-school students graduating in 2025, 2026, 2027 who have previously registered online.
Teams
Teams of 2-4 people. You can sign up with classmates or friends. It's not possible to sign up individually.
There will be one winning team and two types of prizes (depending on the school year):

9:00 – 9:30 - Reception of participants and delivery of accreditations
9:30 - 10:00 - Welcome and communication of the groups
10:00 - 11:00 - First round of debate and feedback from the jury
11:00 - 12:00 - Second round of debate and feedback from the jury
12:00 - 13:00 - Third round of debate.
13:00 - 13:30 - Announcement of the cut to the semi-finals
13:30 - 15:00 - Lunch
15:00 - 16:00 - Semifinals
16:00 - 17:00 - Final and announcement of the Final Winner

Is the competition only for future law students?
No! Debating and speaking skills are, of course, fundamental for legal professionals, but the ability to make your point and discuss issues is a requirement for all careers. Wherever your future lies, the ability to communicate effectively will help you on your way.
