Admission requirements
Holistic assessment
Esade is a private university with its own admissions process. Unlike public universities, none of the Esade degrees has minimum entry grades, therefore to decide on your admission, we will assess your past academic record, your most recent grades, your education system, your application essays, your admissions test and English language proficiency. Ultimately, your grades are important and must meet the Esade level of academic excellence, but they are not the only factor to consider. However, you will have to meet some admission requirements to join the degree of your choice.
Esade is committed to offering equal opportunities to all candidates. Therefore, Esade does not discriminate against any candidate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, age, marital status, political belief, disability or any other factor which could interfere with candidates being evaluated on an equal basis in the admissions process of its programmes.
When should you submit your application?
In your last year of high-school education before university or shortly after your high-school graduation. Starting every September, Esade carries a rolling admissions process with biweekly Admissions Committees, therefore don’t wait until the end of your last high-school year or you will run out of options because places are limited.

As part of our Admissions Process, you must take the Esade Admissions Test which allows us to measure your competencies in logic, numerical and problem-solving skills focusing on testing your ability to reason more than your ability to memorize. It will also evaluate your English level.
Once you submit your application form you will be able to choose the earliest date available from the given options in the calendar. After choosing it, if you would like to change it, please contact admissions@esade.edu.
Alternatively, we accept the following globally recognized tests that allow to send your scores directly to Esade Business & Law School:
- SAT: Average 1350. Minimum 1200. Esade’s identification code (7073)
- ACT: Average 30. Minimum 24. Esade’s identification code (6922)
Language Proficiency Requirements
Academic, extracurricular, and professional success at Esade depends on the ability to engage in academic English confidently and comfortably. Because of this, all Esade applicants must effectively demonstrate their English language proficiency as part of the admission review process:
- Candidates who take the Esade Admissions Test will also be assessed on their English language skills as it incorporates an English level test that will be used in the admissions process.
- For those taking Esade’s Admissions test, the possession of English language certificates is not mandatory, particularly if the candidates have studied in an Anglophone educational system (such as American High School Diploma, IB in English or A-levels). If a language certificate is available, it can be used to strengthen the candidacy.
- It is possible to be exempt from taking the English level test. Check if you meet the requirements set out in the English Test Waivers / Exceptions of the Language requirements by program section.
- Candidates with a valid test score below the minimum score accepted may be required to take a preliminary English course before the start of their Esade degree programme.
- Esade reserves the right to ask for an English certificate if deemed necessary.
- Candidates who are not native Spanish speakers who wish to enter a programme taught in Spanish or partially in Spanish, must demonstrate their proficiency in this language in a personal interview
- Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese, French, German or Spanish for programmes taught in English is not required for admission.
