Company Executive

Hold leadership positions in companies. Manage a specific department or gain experience and work your way up to general manager.  You’ll be prepared to make decisions, lead teams, and organise and coordinate resources.

Marketing, Finance, Operations, Human Resources or Digital Innovation Specialist

Apply the expertise you’ve developed during the degree program to guide a functional area of a company or offer external consulting services in:

  • Marketing: You’ll define and lead the strategies that a company will follow to make its product stand out in the market.
  • Finance: You’ll have the training you need to manage a company’s economic resources, assess transactions, establish financial policies, etc.
  • Operations: You’ll manage the resources and coordinate the teams that make up the chain that delivers the company’s product or service to its customers.
  • Human Resources: You’ll select the best talent for a company, design a professional growth plan for new recruits, develop strategies to tap their full potential, and more.
  • Digital Innovation: You’ll oversee the management of corporate information processes, both internally (among employees, teams and departments) and externally (with clients, suppliers and external collaborators). You’ll also lead the company’s innovation and digitisation projects such as developing company or product websites, creating apps or designing a corporate image.

Entrepreneur

Many BBA graduates use their skills and knowledge to launch their own successful startups. Over the course of your Esade BBA programme, leading experts will teach you how to develop a business idea by analysing the market, assessing viability, securing financing, and more.

Investment banker

Help people and companies earn a return on their investments. You’ll become familiar with the markets and the instruments available: financial derivatives, fixed-income investments, currency markets, commodities, stocks, the issue and sale of securities, etc.

Private Equity manager

Identify unlisted companies with high potential and develop strategies and plans to manage investments in them.

Strategic consultant

Offer guidance and expertise to other companies through a consulting firm. Consultants work in areas where companies often need support, such as marketing, human resources, and finance.

Auditor

Analyse companies, or specific aspects of companies, to offer insights into problems. Companies often need to find out the reasons for a particular issue, the status of their accounts at a particular time, or whether or not they are managing their human resources properly. External auditors take a snapshot of the situation, draw up a report, identify solutions and establish channels for action.

Stock market advisor

Develop strategies and offer advice on the financial markets to individuals and companies. You’ll have the in-depth knowledge of the markets and the available trading tools you need to operate as an international stockbroker.

Consulting

Consulting is one of the top industries to pursue a career. Once you graduate, you will be able to join a consulting firm as a junior analyst, analysing and advising all kinds of companies on their projects, investments, business strategies, business operations, management, etc. There are consultancies specialised in specific industries (telecommunications, fashion, etc.) and in specific processes or types of consulting (marketing, operations, human resources or communication).

Leading companies in the industry: Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, The Boston Consulting Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Accenture.

Banking and finance

The world of finance encompasses all kinds of companies that deal with money, from investment funds to credit card companies, investment advisors, insurance companies, finance companies, etc. The banking world includes several types of banks where you can pursue a career:

  • Retail banks: for individuals and small businesses.
  • Private banks: for high-net-worth individuals and small, medium and large companies.
  • Commercial banks: for medium and large companies.
  • Investment banks: for medium and large companies, as well as banks and governments.
  • Universal banks: dedicated to commercial banking, investments and other financial services such as insurance.
  • Specialised banks: banks focused on a specific product or industry.

Fast-moving consumer goods

The fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector encompasses all kinds of companies that manufacture and sell everyday consumer goods: food, beverages, cleaning products, etc. As the name suggest, in this industry product stocks move quickly, either because they are consumed daily or have expiry dates.

Leading companies in the industry: Henkel, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser, Beiersdorf, Danone, Altadis, Diageo, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Philip Morris, British American Tobacco, Heinz, Heineken, General Mills, SAB Miller.

Technology

The TMT sector consists of technology, media, and telecommunications companies. It includes software companies, hardware companies, entertainment companies, companies offering communication services, e-commerce companies, social media companies, search engines, app developers, servers, media and communication agencies, etc.

Retail and luxury goods

Retail is the sale of products to the end consumer. Retail companies manufacture their own products or sell those of other manufacturers. The sector also includes the luxury goods industry, consisting of non-essential products that are not mass-marketed (jewellery, high-end cars, haute couture, etc.).

Health and pharma

The healthcare and pharmaceutical sector encompasses all health-related companies, from pharmaceutical companies to medical insurance companies, biotech companies, hospitals or medical equipment manufacturers.
