The Corporate Reputation Business Monitor (Merco) has again recognized Esade as the most prestigious academic institution in Spain in its 24th 'Merco Companies and Leaders' ranking. In the ‘2024 Merco Companies’ category, Esade is ranked first in the ‘Education’ sector for the second consecutive year – standing out as the most prestigious business school in Spain – and keeps its 58th position in the overall ranking of the 200 most prestigious companies in Spain.

María Díaz, Director of Communication, Brand and Institutional Relations at Esade, said: ‘that managers and the public again recognize Esade as Spain’s most prestigious educational institution shows the impact of the positive change we are generating in companies and society. This reinforces our commitment to academic excellence, as well as purposeful transformation and innovation. In the next academic year, we will further strengthen our leadership with the appointment of our new Director General, Daniel Traça, as well as the opening of our new campus in Madrid – a space where people will use technological innovation to create change and positive impact’.

Reputational assessment

Merco is one of the most renowned corporate monitors in Spain and Latin America. This ranking considers the merits and reputational progress of companies and institutions and includes the evaluation of management committees and groups of experts. Specifically, this year’s ranking involved 1195 managers of large companies, 703 experts from the business world, 400 SME managers, 52,131 Merco Talento participants, and 8923 members of the public (Merco Sociedad). An analysis was also made of the corporate digital areas (Merco Digital) and objective company indicators.
