Esade Law School amongst universities preferred by law firms and corporate counsels for recruiting their future lawyers
Esade Law School consolidates itself as one of the universities preferred by law firms for recruiting their future talent according to the fourth edition of the ‘Universidades y Despachos 2024’ report by El Confidencial. Esade leads the ‘Master’s’ category with 87 students (12.5% of all candidates) recruited by Spain’s most prestigious law firms – a clear acknowledgement of the advanced and specialist programs available at Esade Law School. Esade has also climbed three positions to second place in the ‘Bachelor’s Degree’ ranking, with 66 graduates hired.
Jorge Castiñeira, dean of Esade Law School, considers that “this acknowledgement underlines Esade’s commitment to academic excellence and its ability to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the legal profession. We have always believed in the importance of training outstanding lawyers with a thorough understanding of the legal system plus a robust business mindset.” “Apart from their talent,” emphasized the dean, “what gives Esade graduates a competitive edge is their ambition to learn and be better every day. This quest for constant improvement is what law firms, corporate counsels and companies value and appreciate in our students.”
The report ‘Universidades y Despachos’ by El Confidencial is unique in its field. It analyses data compiled from 17 of Spain’s leading law firms in order to pinpoint the preferred universities for recruiting talent.
Law firm preference
The El Confidencial report highlights that law firms seek applicants who are not only fluent in English but have relational skills and are able to work in teams. Esade’s holistic approach to the education of its students has enabled it to fulfil and outstrip these expectations, and consolidate itself as a benchmark in the training of lawyers.
Classrooms in the Esade Law School classrooms currently host 1,980 students from all over the world. In the current 2023-24 academic year, the School’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programs have 560 international students with 69 different nationalities. All Esade Law School programs feature course content and learning methodologies designed to solve transversal problems, whilst combining the realms of law, economics and international relations.
