ESADE, the 5th-ranked business school worldwide in executive education, according to the Financial Times, will be offering a programme for global executives in Bogotá for the first time. The Programme for Leadership Development (PLD) is an innovative, rigorous course "designed to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to help participants become effective leaders in their companies", in the words of Emilio del Castillo, the recently appointed Regional Director of ESADE for Colombia.

Participating executives will begin classes on 8th May in Bogotá, although they will have the option of completing some course modules in other cities – including Lima, São Paulo and Mexico City – where the PLD will be taught simultaneously. Completion of the PLD is the first requirement to earn ESADE’s Master in Executive Management.

ESADE Business School has campuses in Barcelona and Madrid and a presence throughout Latin America (São Paulo, Lima, Mexico City, Bogotá and Buenos Aires). The school currently has a network of more than 50,000 alumni of more than 100 nationalities occupying positions of responsibility in enterprises around the globe. ESADE consistently ranks near the top of the main global business-school rankings (Financial Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Economist and América Economía). According to Emilio del Castillo, Regional Director of ESADE for Colombia, "ESADE is a European business school imbued with the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. It is recognised around the world for its top-five showing in the latest executive education ranking published by the Financial Times."
