Esade and Alsea join forces to transform sustainable talent management
Esade and Alsea, the No.1 restaurant operator in LatAm and Europe, have entered into an agreement to advance the research and development of an innovative methodology that incorporates employee-focused social sustainability into corporate management. The E-ESG model (Employee and Environmental, Social and Governance) aims to facilitate the development of 'employee-centric' companies and equip organizations with tools to improve sustainable talent management.
The main aim of this project is to align talent management with the most advanced sustainability and social responsibility standards, i.e., to address the 'S' (Social) component of the ESG model. According to Olaya García-Lancha, director of Institutional Development & Engagement at Esade, “this agreement with Alsea is a significant step towards bolstering responsible leadership and putting people at the heart of corporate sustainability.”
Meanwhile, Mar Romero, Director of People and ESG at Alsea Europe, emphasized that “our collaboration with this Esade chair reinforces our commitment to the well-being of our people, promoting their stability and aligning us with the sustainable growth initiatives that we promote here at Alsea to convey a unique experience every day."
Boost for impactful research
The ‘E-ESG’ model complies with new EU guidelines about social sustainability and corporate responsibility, and seeks to harmonize impact indicators with these regulations. Its main objectives include the analysis of trends and good practices in the realm of job prospects, social sustainability and talent management, in addition to designing an employee-oriented measurement model intended for companies already at the cutting edge of sustainability strategies.
This new employment framework will combine expertise in business management, organizational psychology and sustainability studies to develop a broad-based group of indicators, metrics and good practices designed to help companies enhance their social impact. In addition, forums will be organized with experts in sustainability and business management with a view to defining key indicators for measuring and evaluating the social impact of talent management.
