A curriculum for you to become an expert in business and international economics or politics

First year

Fundamentals of business management and global politics and economics

In the first year, you will lay the foundations in your understanding of economics and law as well as international relations. From the very beginning, you will integrate subjects from both degrees, such as microeconomics and macroeconomics, accounting, geopolitics and the United Nations Simulation. In addition, in your first year of university you will immerse yourself in campus life for the first time, meeting students from all over the world and discovering our active learning methodology with dynamic and interactive classes, enjoying many new experiences both inside and outside the classroom. It will also be a year of first contact with Esade's student associations: you will be able to join them and participate in the activities they organize throughout the year.

Second year

Choose your specialization and enjoy your first international experiences

In the second year you will start to deepen your knowledge. You will also will start your specialization track in Global Politics or Global Economics and you will have the opportunity to take part in your first strategic consultancy through the Capstone Strategy Consulting Project. In addition, you’ll be able to participate in the first study abroad experience of the program, where you will be able to take the International Public Law course either at a partner school in Europe or here at Esade.

Third year

Strengthen your understanding of business and international politics

Year three is when you will further consolidate your studies in management and finance. In addition, you will advance your education in geopolitics and foreign relations, which will be enhanced by the possibility of taking another study abroad course in International Security at a partner school or in Barcelona. You can also go on a Study Tour in Brussels and Luxembourg. If you choose this option, you will learn first-hand about the main institutions and organizations of the European Union. If you choose the Global Economics track, you will deepen your knowledge of data analysis applied to economics, financial economics and international economics. In addition, you will take the second Capstone, with a new consulting project in which you will apply the new knowledge acquired in the classroom.

Fourth year

First contact with the professional world, practical work and first exchange experience

Throughout the fourth year you will study different company areas in depth, such as marketing, human resources and finance. You will also learn in detail about human rights, geoeconomics and globalization. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to carry out international solidarity internships in developing countries through the SUD and you will be able to choose a destination for your optional exchange. Finally, you will have to present your first final degree project in which you will analyze a problem associated with global politics or global economics, depending on the track you have chosen.

Fifth year

Compulsory exchange and internships

In year five you will broaden your personal and professional horizons off campus: you will take your mandatory exchange semester abroad, at the prestigious university of your choice within Esade's network of partner universities across five continents. You will also complete professional internships in international companies or organizations. At the end of the year, you will present your final project for your Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, in which you will apply your knowledge of management.
