Sant Benet seminars for reflection and debate
The Món Sant Benet Annual Leadership Workshop
The Annual Leadership Workshop that Esade summons in Món Sant Benet provides the opportunity for strategic reflection on issues bearing on the public agenda.
It provides new ideas and ways of leading the nation’s development and progress. The workshop is held every year in the early Autumn in an idyllic setting — the Món Sant Benet (Sant Fruitós del Bages) complex on the site of a Mediaeval monastery. It brings together around 80-90 personalities with senior management authorities and recognition of the experience and representatives of the different sectors of the business, economic, academic, social, public and political.
The workshop is an all-day session in which those invited take part in dialogue and work sessions with Esade faculty. The purpose is to tackle a subject of current national and global interest and relevance from a multi-disciplinary perspective. The workshop aims to offer a physical and mental space for relaxation that favors open reflection, the debate of ideas, the sharing of innovative experiences and collaboration between different agents that act as leaders in their respective organizations.
Who does it cater to?
Those attending occupy top positions in the nation’s public, business, and political spheres. Guests are renowned experts on their subjects and are invited by name.
The various places for gatherings and relaxation at the Món Sant Benet cultural complex nurture informal conversations among workshop participants and are propitious to forming long-term contacts.
Event Development
These workshops begin early in the day with a light breakfast on Món Sant Benet’s sunny terrace. Following this, speakers go into the meeting hall to present the content and methodology for the session. Work teams are set up during the morning to deal with the day’s topics in greater detail. The morning’s findings are presented at lunchtime. In the afternoon, case studies of best practices bearing on the workshop theme are discussed, spawning strategic reflections and ideas. The session closes around 6 P.M.
Organisation and Sponsorship
The Center for LeadershipS and Sustainability draws up the contents of Leadership Workshop with the help of Esade faculty members. Thanks to the collaboration of Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera (foundation), the workshops at Món Sant Benet (a 10th-Century Benedictine monastery sited in an idyllic landscape) provide an ideal place for reflection.
