Vicenç Vives Programme
The Vicens Vives Programme — Values, Commitment, and Leadership — comprises a group of sessions and weekend stays. Its purpose is to collaborate in the integrated training of professionals with the desire and abilities to manage organisations and meet the challenges of globalisation. The programme focusses on the treatment of academic content, the development of personal skills, shared reflection on values, and in general fostering learning boosting participants’ intellectual, professional, and human potential.
The programme helps business, political, social, and cultural leaders learn about themselves and the society and the world in which we live. This process helps them prepare themselves to draw on their experience and position to contribute to societal progress.
To whom does it cater?
The programme caters to young professionals who have over five years of experience in management posts. They are individuals who: have a good academic track record; are intellectually curious; wish to know themselves better; want to learn; wish to exercise skills such as team-building, empathy, openness to dialogue, collaboration and co-operation. The programme is highly interdisciplinary throughout.
Format
The programme includes 24 sessions held on Friday afternoons, and three weekends. Its content is based on a combination of documentation and brief talks given by experts. The aim is to foster debate and pool experience among participants.
The programme is not a cycle of lectures, but rather one that seeks active involvement by all, offering the right resources to foster dynamic learning and evaluative responsiveness.
