Artificial intelligence is increasingly embedded in how organizations allocate resources, evaluate people, recommend content, manage risk, and deliver services. AID3 is an Esade research institute that studies how AI and statistical methods can improve decision-making while remaining fair, transparent, reliable, and aligned with human values.
AID3 focuses on AI as it is actually used: in organizations, markets, platforms, and managerial processes where technical performance is only one part of the problem. Our research connects computer science, statistics, operations research, behavioral science, computational social science, and management to understand how data-driven systems interact with people, institutions, and society.
The institute develops methods and frameworks for responsible AI governance, human–AI interaction, reproducible evaluation, and robust model lifecycle control. Through research, partnerships, education, and applied projects, AID3 aims to help organizations move from simply adopting AI to governing it responsibly and using it to support better decisions.

The Corporate Partnerships Program offers partner organizations the opportunity to participate in research projects on the impact and applications of artificial intelligence in business and society.
Partner organizations can collaborate with our faculty and researchers on joint studies, applied research projects, observatories, case studies, and publications. The goal is to combine academic rigor with business expertise to generate relevant and actionable outcomes.
