The Esade Executive MBA is 11th in the world (8th in Europe) according to the latest QS EMBA Ranking, produced by QS, publisher of the Top Universities and Top MBA portals. This is due particularly to gender and nationality diversity in the classroom (3rd  in the world), the reputation of the program amongst future employers of participants (6th in Europe) and career advancement in terms of salary and promotion upon completion of the program (9th in Europe).

According to Luis Vives, deputy dean for MBA programs at Esade, the position of the Esade Executive MBA in this ranking constitutes “an acknowledgement of the program’s learning model, the quality of participants and the global mindset they develop during the program.” “The diverse and complementary methodologies in our approach,” added Vives, “enable participating executives to improve their decision-making processes and enhance their leadership skills: two crucial factors for boosting their career.”

The Esade Executive MBA is available in four formats: monthly and bilingual on the Madrid campus; monthly in English on the Barcelona and Madrid campuses; weekly and bilingual on the Barcelona campus; and a new, blended-learning format on the Barcelona and Madrid campuses scheduled to start in October. Participants in the blended-learning format can choose to study for between 18 and 24 months depending on the optional courses they take, always guaranteeing the maximum benefit when working individually or in teams.

“Thanks to this innovative EMBA format, participants will gain knowledge and skills whilst taking full advantage of the face-to-face and on-line worlds in a flexible, international and diverse environment that enables them to remain closely linked and exchange information with companies, entrepreneurs, colleagues and former students,” explained Luis Vives in relation to Esade’s new blended-learning Executive MBA format.

Diversity and executive career

One of the aspects in which QS rated the Esade Executive MBA most highly was the diversity of gender and nationality, ranked 3rd in the world. As regards gender diversity, women account for 31% of participants, more than most similar programs, and as for nationality, there are 30 different nationalities amongst participants.

In addition, the Esade Executive MBA ranked particularly well on account of its reputation amongst future employers (6th in Europe) and its impact on career advancement in terms of promotion and salary (9th in Europe). Thanks to the key knowledge and skills developed during the program and the efforts of the Esade Careers team, 75% of participants undertake a career change within two years of graduation: a promotion within the participant’s company (37%), a move to another company (46%), or becoming an entrepreneur (17%).

“Esade is constantly in touch with companies and the other stakeholders in the job market in order to anticipate and respond to their needs. Consequently, the Esade Executive MBA is constantly updated to train executives able to help companies be leaders in a landscape characterized by change and uncertainty particularly at the present time,” concluded Luis Vives, deputy dean of Esade MBA programs.
