ESADE Business School’s Full-Time MBA is among the top 25 MBA programmes in the world, according to the latest ranking published by the Financial Times. ESADE secured the #21 spot largely on the strength of two factors for which the British newspaper ranked the programme #3 and #5 in the world, respectively: international exposure and diversity in the classroom. The ESADE Full-Time MBA was also recognised for the inclusion of topics related to corporate social responsibility, an area in which the programme was ranked #6 worldwide.

“We are very pleased with our Full-Time MBA’s excellent showing in the prestigious Financial Times ranking. This result reflects the programme’s diversity and flexibility, as well as its excellent case-based teaching, its focus on teamwork, and the constant collaboration of our students with the business world,” commented Josep Franch, Dean of ESADE Business School. “It also illustrates the success of our new curricular design, which addresses the challenges of globalisation and digitalisation by offering a modern, innovative and inherently digitalised learning experience geared towards training leaders who are capable of adapting to new ways of thinking and working through disruptive leadership.”

Diversity, flexibility and teaching methodology

The 2020 graduating class of the ESADE Business School MBA is made up of 187 students, 97% of whom are from other countries, with 51 nationalities represented overall. Most students have a degree in either economics and business management (48%) or engineering (30%), although a few represent the humanities and social sciences (5%), law (5%), health sciences (4%) and art (4%). Students have six years of work experience, on average, and represent a wide range of sectors: industry, general services, financial services, consulting and technology.

Among the most notable aspects of the ESADE Full-Time MBA are the personalised attention and programme design (the programme can be completed in 12, 15 or 18 months), the international character of the faculty, and the hands-on teaching methodology, which combines teamwork with real-life case studies provided by companies. ESADE’s MBA students share this unique formula with their counterparts in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and the MSc Programmes in Management, which are also taught on the school’s Sant Cugat (Barcelona) campus, right next door to the ESADECREAPOLIS innovation centre.

Employability and international competitiveness

ESADE’s graduates have historically found work in every corner of the world, and this trend is expected to continue in the coming years. Of the graduates of the 2018 Full-Time MBA who found a job in a different country, 54% did so in Europe, 20% in Latin America or the Caribbean, 15% in Asia, 10% in North America and 1% in Africa. The technology industry was the sector chosen by the largest percentage of MBA graduates (29%). Not only do ESADE graduates get hired internationally, they do so quite quickly: 93% of participants in Full-Time MBA secure employment within three months of graduating.
