Practical methodology and hands-on learning
Develop the tools and skills you need to understand both a company’s context and how it functions internally so that you can identify its needs and translate them into opportunities. By analyzing real cases, you’ll learn to define a problem and propose a data-based solution. This will involve an active dialogue with the company to understand its inner workings, analyze its culture and identify key players and departments.
You’ll also learn to implement and integrate a solution into a company's infrastructure by actively collaborating with the areas and departments linked to its management. Finally, you’ll learn to present your proposal and quantify its business impact from different perspectives, adjusting to the company's expectations and clearly identifying the value proposition and the expected results over the short, medium and long term.
Learning by doing inside the classroom
Interdisciplinary projects
Every semester, you will carry out a project that spans several subjects. Each will give you a different perspective; for example, you can carry out a project in which you have to combine artificial intelligence with concepts from musical composition. In other cases, you will have to develop optimization methods in data management for the development of a sustainable initiative. To carry out these interdisciplinary projects, you will be able to collaborate with your classmates, but also with students from other Esade degrees, from other universities, and even with workers from external companies.
Developing competencies
Over the course of the program, you’ll work on fundamental soft skills and competencies: creativity, resilience, time management, teamwork, leadership, social responsibility, and more. These sessions give you a broad perspective on business management, expanding your capacity to integrate the use of artificial intelligence and other technologies in your management skills.
Situated learning
Use dialogue, contextual analysis and long-term thinking as you discover the difference between class- or lab-based theory and the more messy and fast-changing real world when understanding the needs of a project and its impact on the ecosystem it applies to.
Active classes
You’ll work in small groups in a participatory setting, exploring all type of business and AI topics, and current issues. You will constantly interact with classmates and faculty.
Solving real-life case studies
You will analyse real-life problems faced by companies and argue for possible solutions, in some cases pitching your ideas directly to the company’s directors.
Individual study and research projects
Individual work plays a very important role in the learning process, especially during the first year. Research projects will allow you to delve deeper into topics that interest you, manage multiple sources of information and develop your own discourse. You will have direct connection with tech giants as well as third sector organizations undergoing digital transformation.
Learning by doing beyond the classroom
During the program, you will also have the opportunity to participate in different experiences outside the classroom such as international challenges, activities organised by student associations, etc.
Microeconomics Challenge
For the first time, Esade has posed a transversal challenge among students of practically all its Degrees, in teams.
They have had to analyze the future of the automobile industry in Europe using economic tools, they have presented their projects before a jury of experts, made up of real companies and institutions, who have announced the winning group.
Computing Fundations

Datathons
The Datathon is a team competition in which you will have to work on a real business case, addressing the challenge through artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. Over 48 hours, you and your teammates will have to come up with a creative solution and defend it before a panel of judges.
Boot camps
Boot camps consist of practical projects where you will have to develop your own software programs, web applications and other digital tools. They provide you with intensive, business-oriented learning experiences.
Business Games
Each year, renowned Spanish and international companies organize competitions and challenges for students in the BBA and double degree. These events will give you the opportunity to address real-life business cases, which you and your teammates will have to solve. You will then be asked to present your results to high-profile business executives.
These competitions include the L’Oréal Marketing Award, the e-Strat Challenge, the Repsol Challenge, Trust Danone and Innovation Quest.
