Reforzar la legitimidad, la reputación y la confianza en las ONG

Trust is a very valuable asset for all institutions, also in the Third Sector, since it depends on it to obtain legitimacy and support, collaborate with other actors and advance their organizational objectives and missions. In a context of “trust deficit” on a global scale, how are NGOs positioned?

Until now, many social organizations have not paid enough attention to reinforcing society's trust, under the assumption that, for their own purposes, they were considered ethical and trustworthy. However, in a highly polarized environment like the current one, this is no longer enough. It is necessary for NGOs to develop active and intentional strategies to promote and manage their stakeholders’ trust, to reinforce their legitimacy and reputation.

This report analyzes the trends that affect the trust placed in NGOs, as well as the main factors in its construction, determining what actions and areas should be worked on to reinforce their legitimacy and relevance as a sector.
