How has the role of the independent director evolved in recent years among companies listed on the IBEX-35? 

This study provides an in-depth analysis of the independent director's role and aims to shed some light on the situation of national listed companies in terms of independence across their various governance bodies. Additionally, it identifies some of the challenges and uncertainties that these directors face in the performance of their duties.
