Curriculum
Program structure
The CEMS MIM curriculum is designed to take your abilities to the next level.
You can begin the one-year program after completing one of Esade’s Masters in Management programs.
CEMS MIM immerses you in a demanding syllabus that comprises two terms of rigorous academic study plus an 8-week international internship. During the second term you’ll have the chance to engage with one of the program’s highlights: the mid-term Business Project. You’ll take on the role of consultant and tackle a real business problem posed by a leading company.

Term 1
SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER
Block Seminars
The Block Seminar is a one-week course that takes place at the beginning of Term 1. You can choose one of the following block seminars:
- Block Seminar: Social Enterpreneurship & Impact Investing

- Block seminar: Building Conscientious brands: Brand purpose, Sustainability, and Innovation

Term 2
JANUARY – MAY
A unique opportunity. A learning experience like no other.
The mid-term Business Project puts you in the shoes of a leading consultant charged with resolving a critical issue facing a CEMS partner.
As part of a team you will have to analyse and articulate the issue to hand. Together you will design a solution that leverages the opportunities available. Before you deliver your solution, you’ll be required to present and defend your analysis and ideas before a judging panel.
Previous projects have included: improving sales force's segmentation, increasing sales of a specific product, increasing international sales, developing a strategic plan to double a company’s size in five years, improving online sales channels, and identifying market niches in predefined countries.
in 2023 arround 12 companies have been issuing challenes to CEMS students. They Include: ABB, Beiersdorf, Cartier, Zurich, WWF, Lufthansa, Luxoticca, A.T. Kearney, Siemens Healltlhineers, Groupe SEB, Robingood, Quida.

Global Citizen Skill seminar
An intensive, two-day experiential learning experience, the Global Citizen Skill Seminar brings together leaders from the CEMS corporate and/or social partner ecosystem, professors, and students to explore the key issues in sustainability, responsibility, and leadership.

Term 3
International Internship
(minimum 8 weeks)
Internships are a real-life professional learning experiences embedded within an organization’s culture and processes. This is your chance to translate academic experience and theoretical knowledge into professional, multi- cultural know-how. You will spend a minimum of eight weeks on your internship, working on day-to-day business challenges and gaining invaluable understanding, knowledge, and insight into the dynamics of international business.
Graduation
NOVEMBER - DECEMBER
The CEMS Graduation Ceremony takes place each year during the CEMS Annual Events, which are hosted by one of the CEMS member schools. You must have successfully completed all obligatory components for the CEMS MIM as well as your Esade MSc degree by 30th September of the year you graduate.
