Center for Corporate Governance
Meet the Centre
The Centre for Corporate Governance aims to become a leading reference centre in the field of corporate governance in Spain, helping to improve good governance at companies and institutions. Its comprehensive approach to emerging challenges in corporate governance combines actions ranging from research, social debate and influencing policymakers to training for directors in best practices and trends and community building with alumni.
Lines of Action
The Centre pursues its mission through four lines of action:
Training for directors
Portfolio of general and specialised governance programmes to meet current training needs in the field.
Research
Reports and studies with a practical perspective and empirical basis in the following research areas:
- Shareholders, investors and other stakeholders.
- Administrative and governing bodies.
- Regulation (hard law) and recommendations (soft law).
Opinion and public debate
Formation of opinion through papers, articles and reports. We aim to give Esade its own voice on new trends, potential regulatory changes in Spain or other jurisdictions with a local impact, and current events setting the agenda in the field of governance, with a view to impacting and influencing the corporate governance community.
Club of Directors
The Esade Alumni Club of Directors is a community of practitioners that aims to promote the ongoing development of its members in the corporate governance field and strengthen relations within the group to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience. The club achieves all this through numerous events and debate forums designed to encourage networking.
