Biografía
Janina Grabs es profesora adjunta de Empresa y Sociedad en el Departamento de Sociedad,
Política y Sostenibilidad de ESADE Business School, Barcelona. Recibió su doctorado
en Ciencias Políticas de la Universidad de Münster, Alemania, y anteriormente fue
investigadora postdoctoral en ETH Zurich e investigadora visitante en la Universidad
de Yale. Su trabajo se centra en la gobernanza privada de la sostenibilidad en las
cadenas de valor globales, con un enfoque especial en productos agrícolas tropicales
como el café y el aceite de palma. Su trabajo sobre la eficacia de la gobernanza de
la sostenibilidad privada en el sector del café ha sido ampliamente reconocido, entre
otros, con el premio Oran R. Young de ESG, el premio de disertación Virginia M. Walsh
de APSA y el premio Giandomenico Majone de ECPR, y está publicado en el libro 'Selling
Sustainability Short? The Private Governance of Labor and the Environment in the Coffee
Sector' 2020, Cambridge University Press, que recibió el premio AoM 2021 ONE Book
Award así como el Lynton Keith Caldwell Book Award de APSA. Además, ha publicado en
revistas líderes revisadas por pares, incluidas Regulation & Governance, Business
Strategy and the Environment, New Political Economy, Journal of Economic Geography,
Ecological Economics, y Journal of Environmental Management.Janina también es investigadora
del proyecto Earth System Governance, es editora de reseñas de libros del Earth System
Governance Journal, es miembro del Comité de Divulgación de la Environmental Studies
