Biografia
Pedro Rey Biel és professor titular d'Economia del Comportament d'ESADE-Universitat
Ramon Llull. És Màster en Economia i Finances pel CEMFI Banc d'Espanya i Doctor en
Economia pel University College London Regne Unit. Abans d'incorporar-se a ESADE l'abril
de 2018, era professor titular de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Des de 2008,
és visitant de la Rady School of Management de la Universitat de Califòrnia a San
Diego UCSD, on ha impartit classes d'Economia Empresarial i Estratègia a l'MBA. Ha
estat el principal científic del comportament d'All of Us, la Iniciativa de Medicina
de Precisió dels Estats Units impulsada pel president Obama.La seva recerca combina
metodologies teòriques i empíriques, amb experiments de laboratori i de camp, per
tal d'entendre la presa de decisions econòmiques i com es veuen afectades pel disseny
de programes adequats d'incentius que tinguin en compte el complex ventall de trets
del comportament que intervenen en la motivació humana. Col·labora sovint amb destacades
empreses i institucions en el disseny d'experiments de camp, que ajuden a obtenir
resultats millors. Ha publicat articles en destacades revistes acadèmiques d'economia,
com el Journal of European Economic Association, el Journal of Economic Perspectives,
The Economic Journal i el Journal of Public Economics, i també en les principals revistes
de camp, com Games and Economic Behavior, el Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization
i Experimental Economics. Els seus treballs també apareixen ressenyats regularment
en mitjans tan populars com The Wall Street Journal o el Financial Times. És un dels
editors del blog d'economia més popular d'Espanya www.nadaesgratis.es. Actualment,
és membre del consell editorial del Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization,
npj Digital Medicine Nature i el Journal of Socio-Economics. També col·labora amb
institucions públiques i privades en les aplicacions de l'economia del comportament
al disseny organitzatiu òptim, i ha realitzat amplis assaigs aleatoritzats RCT en
