Biografia
La seva activitat docent i de recerca sempre s'ha centrat en la contribució de l'empresa a la societat i de la qualitat humana de les organitzacions.
Ha publicat cinc quaderns i set llibres. Entre ells, el llibre 'Danone en Ultzama' ha estat guardonat amb el Premi MSD a la recerca ètica empresarial 2005; el llibre 'Ètica i empresa' va rebre el Premi Joan Sardà Dexeus 1998 al millor llibre d'economia de l'empresa està publicat també en castellà 'ed. Trotta' i en anglès 'ed. Kluwer. Ha col·laborat també en 33 llibres més.
És el director de l'Observatori dels fons ètics, ecològics i solidaris a Espanya, del qual ja s'han fet cinc edicions 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 i 2004. Actualment està preparant un assaig amb el títol 'La empresa ciudadana'. També ha col·laborat en diversos diaris.És cofundador d'Ètica, Economia i Direcció la branca espanyola del European Business Ethics Network; membre del consell internacional d'Ethical Perspectives i de la Society and Business Review; també és membre del patronat o del consell assessor de diverses fundacions i associacions. Va ser el representant d'ESADE al consorci d'universitats europees, que va crear la European Academy on Business in Society EABiS.
Ha estat membre de la Comissió per al Debat sobre els Valors, creada pel Govern de la Generalitat de Catalunya, i és membre del Fòrum d'Experts en RSE del Ministeri de Treball i Assumptes Socials espanyol. Ha estat reconegut com a highly commended runner-up al Faculty Pioneer Award 2003 convocat per EABiS i l'Aspen Institute EUA.És professor d'ESADE des de 1986.
