Biografía
El profesor Jordi Quoidbach está especializado en la toma de decisiones y emociones. Completó sus estudios de doctorado en Psicología en la Universidad de Lieja y posteriormente fue investigador postdoctoral en la Universidad de Harvard durante varios años.
Su investigación estudia los determinantes temporales de la elección y la felicidad. En concreto, le interesa entender de qué modo el recuerdo de experiencias pasadas y la anticipación de experiencias futuras determinan las decisiones que toman las personas, las emociones que sienten y su felicidad global en el presente. Su trabajo revela nuevas perspectivas para aumentar la felicidad y ayudar a los individuos a tomar mejores decisiones profesionales y personales. Ha publicado sus investigaciones en revistas especializadas, como Science, los PNAS, el Psychological Bulletin y Psychological Science, y aparece con frecuencia en medios tan populares como la CNN, la BBC y The New York Times.
Es autor de varios libros de gran difusión sobre las emociones y la felicidad, y presentador de la teleserie sobre coaching titulada J'ai décidé d'être heureux, que emite el canal M6 de la televisión francesa.
