Biography
Dr. Jan Hohberger is Associate Professor of strategic management in the department of strategy and general management at ESADE.
Before joining ESADE, he was Senior Lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney UTS. He was also a visiting scholar/professor at the Wharton School of Business and Georgetown University and received a PhD from ESADE Business School.
Dr. Hohberger teaches and consults in the areas of strategy and innovation. Thereby, he has worked with companies in the North America, Europe, and Asia across different sectors, including banking, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, industrial groups, and mining, working for companies such as DeBaak, KPMG, SK Group, RioTinto, Bayer and Grifols.
Academic programs in which he thought include the full time MBA at ESADE, UTS and Georgetown, the ESADE-Georgetown Global Executive MBA GEMBA, the Executive MBA EMBA at Georgetown University and UTS, the Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation UTS and the CEMS master in international management amongst others.
His research focuses on strategy and innovation topics, with a focus on knowledge acquisition, alliances and informal collaborations in high technology industries.
His research has been published in leading journals such as Research Policy, Industrial & Corporate Change, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and Strategic Organization as well as in scholarly books.
