Biography
Ariadna Dumitrescu is an Associate Professor of Finance at ESADE Business School. She earned her PhD in Economics from IDEA at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Bucharest.
She is a Member of the European Securities and Markets Authority ESMA Securities and Markets Stakeholder Group, Member of the Spanish National Securities Market Commission CNMV Economists Experts Group, Member of the Roster Experts Group European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, The Green Advisory Service for Sustainable Investments Support Green Assist and Member of the Board of Directors of European Financial Management Association.
Her research deals with market participants' strategic behaviour and the role of information in investors' decisions with applications to market microstructure, asset management and sustainable finance. Her research results have been published in journals such as Journal of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, European Financial Management, Economics Letters and Journal of Financial Markets, among others.
She has been an invited speaker at prestigious events such as the SIX Swiss Exchange Group Sustainability Council, the 9th Annual Conference of the International Corporate Governance Society, Life Sciences Impact Day, Impact and Return, AltamarCAM, the Esade Student Finance Society, 'Towards More Sustainable Finance: Challenges and Opportunities,' the Spanish National Securities Market Commission Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores, and the Menéndez Pelayo International University UIMP.
She teaches Financial Markets and Institutions, Financial Economics and Sustainable Finance at Undergraduate, Master and Executive level. Her teaching portfolio also includes Corporate Finance, Corporate Valuation, Derivatives Markets, Risk Management, Financial Modelling and Market Microstructure, among other subjects.
