Biography
Annachiara Longoni holds a PhD in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering, a Master of Science and a Bachelor degree in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
She previously spent a period as visiting scholar at Schulich School of Business - York University Canada.
She studies the role of sustainability in products and processes innovation within operations and supply chains. Her research explores new manufacturing and supply chain paradigms related to sustainability management, emerging in local and global environments. In her PhD dissertation, she investigated the role of organizational practices in sustainable operations strategies to optimize the triple bottom line. Her research has been published in international academic journals and presented at several international conferences.
She collaborates with several universities, research centers, and companies. She is part of international research networks, such as the International Manufacturing Strategies Survey IMSS which involves more than twenty countries globally and the international network on sustainable development leaded by the Center of Organization Effectiveness at the University of Southern California which involves several universities and companies in the United States and Europe. She is part of the organizing committee of the EurOMA Forum on Sustainable Operations and Supply Chains.
In September 2013, Annachiara Longoni joins ESADE as Assistant Professor in the Department of Operations Management and Innovation.
