Significant dysfunctionalities in Spain’s job market have led to excessive rates of temporary employment and unemployment compared to other European countries.
Labour relations in Spain have traditionally had little in-house labour flexibility and excessively rigid labour relations, apart from the constant use of temporary contracts.
All this has contributed to the small increase in productivity and the declining competitiveness of the Spanish economy.
