The coronavirus pandemic has increased the unemployment rate and many families have been hit hard. Job losses have been accompanied by additional negative consequences: persistent long-term wage losses, increased divorce rates or deterioration of physical and mental health. Our policy insight shows how these negative consequences can affect the academic performance of children and adolescents.
